To adapt the used ECM to the Passat, you need the PIN code from the original ECM and the PIN code from the ECM that you are trying to install. With both PIN codes, you are able to adapt the new ECM into the Passat. One way to acquire the PIN codes is in the ECM. CARPROG is able to get both bin files. Get the bin files for both and I could help adapt the ECM into the Passat.

I did not have the bad ECU unit .... all I have is the good use ,Immo light blinks all time and the Immo warning light on red center of dash board tells me immo is activated. But car still start and dies. On Porsches ME 7.xxx we can turn off the Immo on the E2 8 pin EEprom .Any Help !!

Try to read the eeprom from the good computer, that data has the PIN code. It is best to read from both computers. Once you have the PIN code, it is simple to adapt the ECM to the Immobilizer.

Bin files from both of the ECM's and Instrument cluster will help. Why is the ECM being replaced?
Where is the original ECM? The Passat isn't a Porsche but most Porsche want to be a Passat.
