Tried to program a T5 transponder to a 98 Celica with 89780-20060 immo and 24c04 using the Carprog. Read 24c04 ok but it kept saying either "No transponder" or "Verify Failed" when trying to write to T5 transponder. Eventually had to get known bytes and key logic from another source to do job

this model requires 4C type (READ ONLY) transponder, not T5 carprog software don`t programm transponder, reads it only! so you need to get valid 4C texas key to compleate this procedure regards Raimis

It was definately a T5, as I already said I got known bytes for immo dump and key logic from elsewhere and it worked fine. I also just failed on Yaris 2000 with fujistsu ECU and 25020 soic marked IC900 using genuine 4C transponder. when trying to program transponder sometimes it would say "No transponder" and sometimes it would try writing to it and then agian say "verify failed". Could there be a problem with my transponder aerial? I had to put this into virgin mode and then keys cycled in no problem. Please reply as this is no good like this. regards Andy

Hi Andy The 98 Celica is 100% Texas 4C. I have to agree with Raimis on this one.I have done plenty and never used a t5 on them.

Hi Andy This is Phil, RE: Corrola Issue that you responded to. I had verification errors on that Corrola, I did the resistor update on my carprog and pluged in external 12volts. Problem fixed. I just tried it again on another ecu I have on my bench and same results, 12 volts and it works every time. Maybe its just me and a coincidence but give it a try. take care Phil
