| I HAVE GOLF IV THAT I WANT TO DISABLE THE IMMO..I HAVE READ THE EEPROM 24C02 BUT THE DISABLED FILE I WANT TO WRITE TO IT CANNOT WRITE.IT DISPAYS VERIFY ERROR .AM USING EEPROM PROGRAMMER FROM MY CAR PROG.WHO CAN HELP ME? | |||||||||||||

| The CarProg does it very easy. Make sure you choose the correct IC. 1. Eeprom section 2. Left icon (Device) and choose 24C and on right window choose 24C04 3. Second from left, open the folder where your file resides and open it. 4. Choose the write icon to write your new file. You need to make sure the contacts on the 24C04 are very clean You need to make sure that the clip is in perfect contact with the SOIC chip I had to modify my clip to get the end of it closer to the PCB. It looks like you are doing a diesel ECM, those are simple and the CarProg does it easily. Make sure you have an external power supply attached to the CarProg. I use a 12V battery in perfect shape |
