| Audi A4 05 pulled out pincode 15297 tried to add new keys went through the proceedure but would not store keys. This has happened also on Seat ibiza 07 plate pulled out also 5 pin code 42719. Tried to program these vehicles with VCDS got the security access accepted but would not store the new keys is there something funny with these systems that have a 5 pin security access code? carprog can get the code but will not add the new keys. The new keys are from the main dealer as part of a new lock set. | |||||||||||||

| So far, I have never seen any tool pull a 5 digit code. I see a 4 digit code but input a 5 digit code with a "0" as the first digit. If you do have all the keys, you need to delete the original keys and then add the correct amount of keys the owner has. |

| This is how you solve it with VCDS. Use the CarProg to get the PIN. I use the VCDS to test the PIN. If the PIN is acceptable, do this. Login with your PIN from CarProg go to function 10 [Adaptation] channel 21 You must DELETE all the known keys by adding the new value of 0, test and save. Exit that controller Cycle the key Enter the controller and go back to adaptation channel 21 Add the total amount of keys in the new value, test then save Exit the controller Switch out each added key one at a time. On the last key, the lamp will be off. Test each new key. This works for me with the Carprog and VCDS perfectly. |

| As for the 5 or 4 digit codes, I want to add that I have seen the 5 digit codes now. If you get a 4 digit code of 1234, you login with 01234 If you get a 5 digit code of 12345, you login with 12345 |
