| I am having problems with my unit after a recent update 3.50. I find that now I can read eeprom (95160) and alter the data as required. When I go to save the data the file name is saved but the data is not. When I go to open the original file the data is erased?. I have checked other fileds with accurate data only to find that the data has been erased on opening. Is this a software problem?, I purchased mycodecard LT through a legitimate agent in the UK. My serial number is 080513CAR001M66D. I have lost valuable files because of this and you are not replying to my emails so I am posting this on the forum. | Hi Tom as an initial test. i opened a file i had here with your carprog. edited half of it , and saved it. i opened it back up and it displayed what was saved. I will do a HW test tonight and report later, but early indications are pointing at some sort of windows error or maybe a virus of some sort. I have used 3.51 to test btw. |

| Thanks for the help jeff, I have the unit back and have removed the original software from my pc, installed a new virus check program (non found) and reinstalled the software from the site. I can read chips edit them and save the data back to the chip. I can also save the file to my pc. What I cannot do is OPEN the file without blanking the data. When windows opens the file window which allows me to slect the file from my storage piont. The file name is visible and if I hold the cursor on the name the amount of data stred is diplayed ie 252bytes. There is no option to OPEN the file only SAve AND cancel. tHIS IS NOT A VIRUS OR WINDOWS PROBLEM IT IS ASSOCIATED WITH MY UUNITS SOFTWARE AS I DO NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM WITH ANY OF THE OTHER READERS THAT I HAVE ACCESS TO. |
