Cant connect to EWS Box

| Hi trying to connect to EWS3 from a 04 mini, after 5 attempts nothing happens. I know i have to short pin 22 to ground, why is that? and why is A11 not prepared for that? im still a rookie in all this, so its probably me doing something wrong? |
