What programmer to use?

Use CarProg programmer with:

• For 2009+ Ford modules with Mac and Infineon processors use S5.38 Ford 2009+ airbag sensors with MAC and Infineon processors programming by OBDII software.
  
• For 2013+ Ford modules with Infineon processor use S5.40 Mazda CX-5 and Ford 2013+ airbag sensor programming by OBDII software.

How to read Ford airbag module in car by OBD?

You will need:

• CarProg programmer with required software
• A1 or A1 MULTI adapter

Reading procedure:

1. Connect CarProg to car by OBD using A1 (or A1 MULTI) adapter
2. Select required software:
   • MAC7242 for modules with MAC processors
   • INFINEON CX2361 for almost all 2009-2013 Ford modules
   • EDGE INFINEON for Ford Edge modules
   • FOCUS INFINEON for many 2013+ Ford modules
   • TAURUS INFINEON for some 2013+ Ford modules
   Always use same software for reading and writing! You must NOT read with one software and write with another. You can damage module.
3. Press read button
4. Upload crashed file to our online crash cleaner, there are two ways to do it:
   • Save file to your computer and upload it manually to our online crash cleaner
   • Press cloud button and CarProg will upload your file to our online crash cleaner automatically
5. You will get clear file immediately after payment for clearing.
6. Write clear file to your module (Use the same software as used for reading!)
7. Turn car ignition off than on and clear faults with diagnostic.

How to read Ford airbag module on bench?

You will need:

• CarProg programmer with required software
• A1 or A1 MULTI adapter
• C1 adapter

Reading procedure:

1. Connect CarProg to car by OBD using A1 (or A1 MULTI) and C1 adapters
   Connect 500 Ohm resistor between CAN (yellow and green) wires.
   • Connection diagram for 2009-2012 modules
     
   • Connection diagram for 2013 modules
     
2. Follow same procedure as on car.

Something is not working?

Online crash cleaner notifies 'Crash not found' but diagnostic shows crash fault?
Perhaps you are reading your module with wrong software. If it is 2013+ ford module please read it with Focus or Taurus software.

You used online crash cleaner, wrote clear file to module but airbag light is still flashing and diagnostic shows crash fault?
Clear all faults with diagnostic. Crash fault should clear.
